It's hard to believe it's been a year since we moved into our studio. We will be open for trial lessons during the week of August 19th - 24th and are planning a special Open House on August 20th, Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 pm.

It's been wonderful seeing so many happy faces each week as the students come in for their lessons. We have added a lot more than just violin and viola. I now teach all four bowed instruments and chamber music class as well. We have added four additional teachers which has expanded the number of instruments we teach including voice. I could not have asked for a more enthusiastic teaching staff.

And I could not imagine a better group of students. We enjoy watching you grow into the wonderful musicians you work so hard to become. We hope you will continue to enjoy your music throughout your life. It is a great way to express yourself.

Looking for something new to do this summer? In addition to our private lessons we are offering new classes in rhythm and chamber music. 

Our rhythm classes will be offered for two age groups. Rhythm Menagerie is for Preschool & Elementary School students and will introduce students to the basic concepts of rhythm and meter. Rhythm Manipulations is for Pre-teen and Teenage students and will begin to introduce more complex rhythms. Both classes will use percussion instruments and use rhythm cups to make learning rhythms fun to play.

Chamber music classes will offer any student the chance to play with other musicians. Auditions are not required to join one of these classes. The class will concentrate on working well as an independent group. Music will be chosen based on the group's ability and instrumentation.
